Only a handful of years after EA buried 2K football with an exclusive contract, they have seemingly done the same with 2K College Hoops. 2K has recently announced that they will not release a 2K9 version of the College Hoops series due to a dispute with the NCAA over licensing. Although it's not certain whether or not EA had a direct hand in this, they absolutely stand to benefit. Making this more of an issue, College Hoops 2K was widely considered the premier college basketball title. So, do you think the slimming down of options on sports titles is healthy for the industry?
